Italian Kennel Club
The Italian Kennel Club〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Italian kennel Club )〕 (formally Ente Nazionale della Cinofilia Italiana, i.e. ''National Board of Italian Canine Affairs''), often shorted as ENCI, is the primary kennel club responsible for dog pedigree registration services in Italy.It also provides judging for dog shows and many other services relating to dog showing. The organisation was introduced in 1882,〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=A short history about ENCI )〕 and it is also a full member of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Membres )〕 The ENCI's head office is located in Milan and it has offices in all Regions of Italy.
In 2009 the ENCI had more than 160,000 dogs listed in its stud books and organized about 400 shows. ENCI gives special attention to the 14 recognized breeds originating in Italy, i.e. the Bergamasco Shepherd, Bolognese, Bracco Italiano, Cane Corso, Cirneco dell'Etna, Italian Greyhound, Lagotto Romagnolo, Maltese, Maremmano-Abruzzese Sheepdog, Neapolitan Mastiff, short-haired and wire-haired Segugio Italiano, Spinone Italiano, Volpino Italiano.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Italian Breeds )〕
